When we work on large projects, we have good resources of professional contractors and collaborators that we know for a long time in the industry. Our strong background is real-time 3d graphics for games, simulations and VR, AR projects for different platforms.
The company gave presentations in various game and software development groups around Colorado including colleges, the Microsoft Store in located at Lone Tree Mall, and Denver Comic Con.
The Team of Alice
For the first milestone of Alice in the Forgotten Lands there are only two working on the prototype. A programmer, Fernando Zanetta, and his daughter, the artist, Aldana Zanetta.
Originally Alice in the Forgotten Lands was going to be a third person PC and console game, but the moment that we tried virtual reality we had to adapt the project for this platform. We took this action because we always wanted to make this game unique, in both the art side, and gameplay. By using VR technology, we are able to create never seen before gameplay styles that will totally change the way the user plays a videogame.
In the end VR became our main focus for this particular project. We changed the game to first person to give the player a better sense of interaction and immersion with the world of the Forgotten Lands. It not only makes the game feel real, like you are the one experiencing this adventure, but it is amazing to see the detail of the world like you are really there. It even gives the world and characters an actual sense of scale, something that is lost in non VR games.
We are currently developing Alice in the Forgotten Lands for the Microsoft Mixed Reality headsets. We decided to also develop them for this VR platform because we are really amazed at how sharp the quality is, due to the resolution that the headsets have, and since the store for the Microsoft Mixed Reality Headsets is new, we would like to be part of the marketplace, as one of the as one of the earliest games. We bought both the Samsung, and Acer, Microsoft Mixed Reality headsets to develop the game.
The software that we are using to create the project include: Zbrush, Modo, Substance Painter, Photoshop, and Unity as our game engine. Unity has been our favorite game engine since we started to use it in 2011. And we have taken great advantage of the asset store it provides.
On the hardware side, we build our own custom-made computers, with some of the fastest video cards to improve our work and time, and invest in technology that will help innovate our projects like motion captures, and 3d printers. We always try to be ahead in technology to get the most out of the software tools for development. We also have other VR platforms and PCs to make sure it will work with our target audience.
